French Film Festival

Year after year, the French Film Festival has provided an alternative venue for the Filipino audience to discover a different kind of art through films that chronicle the nuances of human experience in everyday life and explore the emotions that rule over relationships among families, friends, colleagues, communities, and cultures.

For two decades, the French Film Festival has featured critically-acclaimed films and blockbusters from the French New Wave, the classics, auteur films, and contemporary releases, as well as Filipino films that have been showcased in international festivals such as Paris Cinema, the Asian Film Festival in Vesoul, and of course, the most prestigious of them all, the Cannes Film Festival.

To mark its 20th year celebration, the French Film Festival will offer a 20-film selection of both recent and classic releases from French producers. A special DJ event, CINEMIX, will conclude this year’s edition with a concert that fuses cinema with electronic music.

The 20th French Film Festival is organized by the Embassy of France to the Philippines, Institut Français, and the Alliance française de Manille, in partnership with the Ayala Malls Cinemas and the SSI Group, Inc., ThinkBIT, and media partners L’Officiel, ANC News Channel, BusinessWorld, Mellow 94.7 Sounds Good, and Spot.ph.
